I try as much as possible to always include national affairs into my internet based reality show – CHNG. Putting it at the back of my mind that it’s the best way to roll out my mind concerning all the bullshits our leaders are performing.
I wrote this article when I launched my ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ group on facebook, which by the Grace of God now has over 3,700 members. I was just on my bed navigating my profile on facebook then I went to my ‘Notes’ and I saw this long ago article………….I was so shocked to see ‘A CALL TO ALL NIGERIAN YOUTHS’ which can be HERE. I had already been planning to write another ‘vexing’article that will tackle what I have been preaching all these years - Entrepreneurship. So, on seeing this old article, I decided to work on it and release an ‘updated version’ of it.
First of all, I want to make you understand this: “I’m not fully an entrepreneur; I’m an employee and also an employer. So, I work for people and I also work for myself”
Every blessed day of my life, friends (online and offline) complain to me about not being able to secure their desired jobs and that I should help in connecting them to companies where they can be employed. I have in so many times tried my best to help some, as I will not be able to help all.
I meet undergraduates almost every day and I try to engage them in discussion asking them what their plans are after school, my discovery is – “Virtually every students have it in mind that after school, God will help them in securing a job in a very good company and become ‘faithful servants’.”
The point is that we all love to work in a very good company as a manager or something and be paid fat salaries at the end of the month. But my question is; why should we always want to be servants to a fellow individual who was actually wiser than us? That company you wish to work was of course started by someone. If everyone decide to work in today’s company, who then will build the companies of tomorrow?
I agree to the fact that every business needs capital to begin, which obviously is the reason so many youths do not want to even think of entrepreneurship. But, we all have read and heard stories of successful entrepreneurs who started with almost nothing.
We all are aware of the ranging unemployment rate in this country. It’s the major problem graduates and every other youth in Nigeria do not want to face. You spend 6 years of your life (with strike and the rest of breakdowns) in a school and after graduating, you were taken to a strange land to serve your father’s land and on passing out, you were dumped on the streets looking for any available job. Then, you realize there is no space for you in the labour market. And then you join the group called JOB SEEKERS, when the wise ones join the group called JOB CREATORS. I am happy to inform you that you will one day become the President of the NATIONAL JOB SEEKERS ASSOCIATION if you still have the mindset of becoming a faithful servant.
See, there is an entrepreneur in every man God has made, a sleeping giant in every man. We need to wake this sleeping giant that abounds in us. We need to motivate ourselves to utilize and maximize our God-given entrepreneurship potentials. The reason so many people complain about this country is because they depend on what our leaders offer. Nigeria is a country full of resources and free gifts of nature which we can use to create thousands of businesses. But, we have decided to abandon them to work in banks and other companies.
Every year, higher institutions produce over 2 million graduates. 15% are bin employed into the banking system, 8% to oil companies, 16% to the education sector and then 30% are distributed to all other sectors in Nigeria. Now, we have 31% unemployed graduates left roaming the streets waiting to join the next 2 million fresh graduates to be produced the next year. Then, it becomes a cycle. Our leaders are as useless as tubers of yam. They have no plan for us, all they discuss is rubbish and rubbish. They are all retards!
We all need to look beyond ourselves and understand that being educated is not all about working as managers in a company and collect fat salaries. The only solution to this unemployment problem is for us to empower ourselves to become JOB CREATORS. Ultimately, when entrepreneurship is bin practiced by people like you, the art of entrepreneurship becomes a lifestyle among youths and there will be great reduction in graduates searching for job. It is a necessity for us to become dependent of nobody.
I urge every Nigerian youth to embrace the art, Entrepreneurship and let’s stop bin affected by our motherfucking leaders’ decisions.
Thanks and God bless!
