Organizers of the annual Nigerian Music Video Awards have announced that only music videos released before July 2014 would be considered for the 2014 edition of the awards. This is to allow a level playing ground for all. We reckon some videos catch on really slowly but eventually get everyone talking.
The statement from the NMVA Secretariat emphasized that the organisers do not want to place any work at a disadvantage.
The NMVA which is a production of Callivison Network holds on November 26 at Eko Hotels, Lagos. Entries for the awards will formally close 30th September.
This year’s edition of the NMVA themed: "A world without violence" has been devoted to deepening the consciousness and support for a violence free environment. It is the organizer's response to the alarming spate of insurgency, civil unrest and militancy.
The NMVA 2014 is also as always thumbing down lewd and vicious scenes as they also constitute violence as is the case with many music videos today.
