My people, the title I got for this write-up na: "HOW I DEVELOPED THE AZONTO DANCE THAT I TAUGHT THE WORLD - FUSE ODG".....Na me change am to werin una dey see up there. Written by Paul Oghoghorie of www.TopNaijaMusic.com #TopNaijaMusic . Up coming artistes will learn so much from this. Enjoy
Many years ago, nobody knew who FUSE ODJ was until he revolutionized the industry with his 'Azonto'. Today, he is a Star.
Fuse revealed recently how the Azonto dance stuff came about. Fuse ODG while growing up shuttling between London and Ghana like every other kid, had the dreams of becoming an entrepreneur, someone who can better people’s life.
At 16 he began listening to legendary musicians like Tupac, Michael Jackson, Fela, Bob Marley, he became inspired and decided to take music as a profession. Africa has always been portrayed as a place of poverty, war and famine, hence the British musician of Ghanaian ascent took it upon himself to use his music to showcase the beauty and richness of Africa Culture, this he achieved with his music video ‘’Azonto” where he taught the world the Azonto dance.
He went further in his musical career by featuring the Veteran reggae star “Wyclef jean’’ in his spanking hot single “Antenna’’ which got him performing on various international platforms. Also becoming the only African act to reach the number 1 on iTunes.
- What dance can you introduce to the world?
- What is that unique thing you can do that the world will be crazy about?
Think, think and think, you will surely get there.
