FINDING LOVE THROUGH BETRAYAL - EPISODE 8 [BY TEE SILVA]

Good day fellas. How did your day go? I had a great day, my birthday is near so we dey hustle to make it a fabulous day for ME. Let's go straight to what we've gat for you. Incase you missed previous episodes, get them HERE.

Welcome to the 8th Episode

He drove us to my apartment. He pulled to a stop in front of my flat and pulled me close to him in a kiss. I was shocked and excited at the same time, then I surprised myself by kissing him back. We were still kissing when a light flashed at us from the windscreen...

It was Jane. I said goodnight and stepped out of the car. He drove off immediately. Jane stood akimbo and shone the torch on my face. I tried to shield my eyes from the intensity of the light.
"I can see you went to have fun with my boyfriend. How was it? Did he sleep with you? Was he able to satisfy you? Can't you talk silly girl?" She was shouting.
Me - "Jane I don't have your time"
I turned to go into the house.
"Of course you won't have my time after the wild sex you had. Shameless girl. After, you come and start preaching to me. Idiot" she shouted back at me.
I kept walking and acted like she wasn't talking to me, I met Sanzy in the living room.
"What's happening?" she asked
"Let's just go into your room" I replied.

We went to Sanzy's room and I sat on her bed.
Sanzy - "Tell me how was the date? I'm dying to know"
Me - "Relax friend. Well it went fine. The guy told me he's in love with me"
Sanzy - "Oooh that's so sweet. How did he plan handling Jane?"
Me - "Dear girlfriend, you wouldn't believe this because I couldn't believe it either. Jane and Mike are not dating"
"What! How is that possible?" she asked confused.

I went on to narrate what Mike had told me about him and Jane.
Sanzy - "Honestly girlfriend, I've also wondered if they were truly dating because I was there when they met and Jane never said anything about Mike until his birthday. But you know Jane can be secretive"
"So do you think Mike is saying the truth?" I asked.
Sanzy - "I think he is. Mike looks responsible to me"
Me - "Yea, but responsibility is not written in the face"
Sanzy "That's right. Could you believe that Jane was the one who took your car keys?"
Me - "Really?"
Sanzy - "Yea. She came to drop it on the TV after you left."
Me - "That girl is so funny", we both laughed at that.

"But what was Jane ranting about the other time?" Sanzy asked me.
Me - "Well, she saw us kissing and she thinks I'm snatching her boyfriend"
Sanzy - "Angela, Angela... You didn't tell me you kissed him oooo"
Me - "Well, I did. And it wasn't a calculated kiss, it was more of an unexpected kiss"
Sanzy - "So how was it? Did you enjoy it?", She was laughing at me.
Me - "Common don't ask me that", I stood up to leave.
Sanzy - "See my girlfriend oooo. she's blushing..." I heard her laughter behind me as I left her room and headed for mine.

On my way to m room, I heard Jane's voice over the phone. She was obviously speaking to Mike.
"How dare you ask her out? How dare you tell her we were not dating? Hen? Did you not know that I've fallen in love with you? Don't you know I wanted our relationship to be a reality? Now you are after my friend......Oh, shut up! Just shut up! I hate you! I hate Angela! I hate all of you...."
Then she was sobbing quietly, I guessed she hung up, so I hurriedly entered to my room. That was the confirmation that I needed to be sure that Mike was saying the truth. He wasn't dating Jane. So I made up my mind that come tomorrow I'll agree to be his girlfriend because I really do love him. Even though I didn't want to acknowledge it but its the truth. I love Mike.

The rest of the week was hell with Jane. She did everything to frustrate me and Sanzy in the house. I didn't mind because I knew she was acting out of jealousy. After about a couple of months, she calmed down. Though she still acts somehow when Mike comes to visit or when I'm on the phone with Mike.

One faithful evening Sanzy made an announcement that surprised everyone of us.
"Ladies, I'm leaving the bitches world. I'm leaving the bitches world. I'm turning on a new leaf. No more clubbing, no more drinking and no more night parties", she declared.
"Wow!!! Sanzy, I'm happy to hear that", I said and stood up to hug her.
"But why are you making that decision all of a sudden?" Jane asked her.
"Well I met this new guy who doesn't like all that. He wants me to change and I promised I will. So I'm changing", she explained happily.
"You mean you're doing all that for a guy?", Jane asked.
Sanzy - "Yes and more. I'll start going to church services now and I'm also to change my mode of dressing"
"Are you sure about that Sanzy?" I asked.
Sanzy - "Yes I am damn serious about it"
Jane - "And who is this mysterious guy?"
Sanzy - "Well his name is Jesus Christ. I met him last week through Angela"
Me - "Oh my dear friend", I hugged her tight.
"You've finally met Christ" I said.
Sanzy - "Yes dear friend. And you helped me meet him"
Me - "But how?"
Sanzy - "Well I looked at your life and saw how everything is working out for you. I saw how happy you are with Mike and I saw how fervent you are in service to God. I never thought it was possible to have a relationship without sex but you and Mike showed me it's possible. I believe it was the Holy Spirit that ministered to me".
Me - "Yes, it's the Holy Spirit. And talking about Mike and me not having sex, it's actually God that has been guiding us against it. Remember that night at the party when I was rushing to meet Mike at the hotel room? We probably would have had sex that night if I had not opened the wrong door and we probably wouldn't have been this happy. I just thank God for everything and I thank him for showing himself to you", I embraced her tightly.

Jane hissed and left the living room.
"We really need to pray for her" Sanzy said.
"Yes we will pray for her" I replied.
My phone rung and it was my sister Patricia calling to inform me she was coming to Nigeria next month and she was getting married as soon as she gets home.
"Who is the lucky man?" I asked
Patricia - "You'll meet him when I come home", we ended the conversation.

I called mum and confirmed the news.
"My sister is coming home and she is getting married", I announced to Sanzy.
Sanzy - "Wow!!! That's great news"
Me - "Yea. You are invited dear friend. I'll tell you the date as soon as I get the details", I went into my room.

Mike called me later that night and I told him about my sister's wedding.
Mike - "Maybe I'll finally get to meet your family and then we can proceed with our own wedding plans"

Me - "Are you proposing to me Mike?"
