Hello, my wonderful chicken periperi people. How una dey? E don tey small wey you see me abi? E ma binu simi....no be my fault, na my offline work carry me comot for a while. It cried that it needed attention, so I had to give it the attention, I give am extra sef. Coupled with the fact that I'm preparing for school, we dey resume by June 2nd. Olabisi Onabanjo University, here I come!!!!

Chai! I don miss you people oooo. I don land with this tori. It's actually an experience I had of recent which I sure will live to remember for the rest of my life.

I took the marketing of my family's business to the streets of Ijebu Ode. I love street marketing gidigan. I don't like sitting down in an office waiting for customers to come. I prefer to go find them and when found, I don't like to stress them, I supply them their orders wherever they are, they don't need to come down to our office. Naturally, that's the nature of our business as we deal with Nursery & Primary schools. We publish books.....now you get the business.

We (my brother and I) got to Ijebu Ode and parked the vehicle somewhere and then took different directions in search of schools. Schools no really plenty for Ijebu Ode ooo. I waka so tey, na so so Hospital I just dey see everywhere. Shey na so Ijebu Ode people dey sick ni? Maybe the area me go na Hospital Avenue.....lolz.

Na em I jam one school like that. My God! You should have seen the disappointment on my face. How would a school like this exist in a place like Ijebu Ode? It wasn't the first school I came across. I'd been to like 5 or 6 schools which looked good and clean, so I didn't expect to see a school like this. How I wan take describe the structure of the school now ooo? Cuz e dey unexplainable. It had only a roof with plenty rooms that had its blocks halfway to the roof. Dem no even cement the blocks sef. No doors. No windows. Standing in front of the school, one could clearly see all the students in their classes (classes ke? They don't look like classes ooo). The children sef no look like pupils cuz not all of them had school uniforms on them. Their furniture....Oh my God, I can't explain. You know wetin kan surprise me? The pupils wey dey the school kan plenty baje baje.

I was from all angle discouraged to enter the school but as I don pray in the morning before leaving my house sey make God control my movement, I no even sabi wetin push me enter the school. I asked for the Head teacher and I was taken to meet one woman who looked like the cleaner of the school. No office, she was sitting in one corner with the children running helter skelter around her. I kept asking myself what made me enter the school sef cuz I don't see this school being able to afford our books. My subconscious told me to shut up and concentrate.

Trust me! As I begin dey rap for the woman about how great our books are and how it would be of great benefits to the school if they decide to make use of our books. With our books in her hands, inspecting them one by one...me dey win her heart with my sweet mouth. When she was done, she looked up and started telling me how good she had found our books to be. Me was just yimuing that she should do quick make she set me free from the mosquitoes that were already devouring me.

She asked for samples to be dropped for proper review. I didn't want to drop them but I just drop them sey anyhow anyway, e go be. The school sef no get any sign board or inscription or whatever for me to know the name of the school. What she now did that made me go gaga was: She referred me to 5 big schools around her, she even called them that one publisher would reach them soon, that they should go through my books for they will so much like them. Come and see me, e remain small make I dey dance shoki in front of this woman. Shooo! So, this woman get connection like this?

She made my marketing very easy that day, I didn't have to just wander about looking for schools, I went straight to the 5 schools she described for me. And those schools are big schools wey get plenty plenty pupils. Each school treated me like a King that I am, that woman in that tattered looking school must be one respected personality ooo cuz the moment I informed those 5 schools that the woman referred me to their school, the look on their faces and reaction showed that the woman is a SURE woman.

I had to call her at the end of the day and thanked her for the connection. I would never have known those schools if I had listened to my mind. Because those schools were situated in an area where I wouldn't even wanna go.

Many people have lost so many things due to the fact that they looked down on the person who would have made their life better. Never look down on anybody, no matter what. Respect every person you meet on your way to the top. Who knows? That person you think has no value or cannot help may be the person who will connect or help you to your position at the top.
"Never look down on anyone except if you like the person's shoes"

Successful people don't reach their goals alone. You need someone to help you reach that goal you desire, the only issue is you don't know who the person is.

Be GOOD and NICE to everyone.
