FINDING LOVE THROUGH BETRAYAL - EPISODE 7 [BY TEE SILVA]

Welcome to the 7th Episode:

Me - "Hello Mike"
Mike - "Hello Angela, good evening"
Me - "Evening"
Mike - "How was your day?"
Me - "Great and yours?"
Mike - "Very fine. I don't know if you can spare me some of your time, I really want to see you".
Me - "Right now I'm watching a soap and it'll finish by 7pm"
Mike - "I can wait"
Me - "Alright. Is 8 o'clock okay?"
Mike - "Yea sure"
Me - "But I won't stay long"
Mike - "I won't take much of your time either"
Me - "Alright then let's meet at SS"
Mike - "No problem dear, I'll be waiting for you, bye"
Me - "Bye"

And so I agreed to meet up with Mike, Sanzy has to hear about this.
"Sanzy...Sanzy!!!" I called out.
Sanzy - "Yea babe, what's happening?"
Me - "I just agreed to meet Mike at SS by 8pm"
Sanzy - "Wow I see. But why not now? Why 8pm?"
Me - "Cos I'm watching a soap"
Sanzy - "Okay o".

At ten minutes to seven I got into my room, took a shower and got dressed. I wore a blue slacks with a matching top. I put on a light makeup and packed my hair up in a pony tail. I checked my reflection in the mirror and I was satisfied. I picked up my purse and headed for the living room. I checked the centre table and my car keys were missing. Where could it be? I kept it on the table, I was sure of that. I asked Sanzy if she had seen it but she said no. We searched every corner of the living room and my room but we couldn't find it. I checked the time and it was fifteen minutes to eight.
"I think I have to go without it" I said to Sanzy.
"Maybe you should ask Jane" Sanzy suggested.

I went to Jane's door and knocked.
"Jane did you see my car keys?" I asked
"Why would I take your car keys? Don't I have mine? Or are you so obsessed with your car that you've lost common sense?" She answered angrily.
Me - "No need for the insult Jane, I only asked if you help me see it".
With that I went out of her room to the living room. "I'll just have to go without it Sanzy. I'll take a cab" I declared to Sanzy
Sanzy - "Or maybe you should take mine"
Me - "No no don't worry, I'm late already, I'll just go take a cab"
Sanzy - "Alright dear take care"
Me - "Yea you too"

I trekked down to the bus stop and waited for a cab. It was already twenty minutes past eight by the time I got a cab. I got to SS exactly twenty five minutes to nine. I alighted from the cab and saw Mike pacing the front of the car park with a worried look on his face and he was holding his phone. He looked like it's taking him a lot of strength not to dial the phone.
"Mike" I called out, he turned when he heard my voice and a smile lit up his face.
Mike - "My Angel"
Me - "I'm sorry I kept you waiting, I couldn't find my car keys so I had to take a cab"
"No qualms dear. You look absolutely beautiful" he said smiling.
Me - "Thank you"

Mike and compliments.

Me - "You must have been worried about me cos I saw you pacing"
Mike - "Yea I was. For a moment I thought you weren't coming"
Me - "I'm a woman of my Words"
Mike - "Let's go inside" he took my hand and led me into the interior of SS.

I could see he had reserved a table for us, so we sat down and he asked what I'd like to eat
Me - "Chicken and chips and a drink"
Mike - "Okay, what kind of drink?"
Me - "Sprite would do", I said and he stood to get our order.
He came back carrying the tray.
"You could have let a waiter do that for you" I said.
Mike - "Yea, but I want to serve you myself"
Me - "Hmm thanks"
Mike - "My pleasure".

We continued eating and chatting about different things when suddenly he said;
"Angela I must confess, you really swept me off my feet. I've never seen such an amazing woman as you".
Me - "That's romantic...What exactly do you find amazing about me?"
Mike - "Everything about you is amazing. Angela, you stir up within me some feelings I never knew I could feel. I think I'm in love with you".
I looked at him with shock evident in my eyes.

LOVE? Mike in love with me?

I've expected everything but love. I stopped eating and I looked at him deep in the eyes. He seemed sincere to me but is he for real?
"I know you may not believe me but I'm serious. I'm in love with you", he said soberly.
Me - "Of course I don't believe you. If you are in love with me, what about Jane?"
"Jane and I are in a partnership relationship" he said
Me - "Partnership relationship? How do you mean?"
Mike - "I met Jane about six weeks ago in my Uncle's hotel, she was there with Sanzy. I guess they were clubbing. We exchanged phone numbers and when I was throwing a party, I sensed I'll be needing a girlfriend because my fiancee had left me a couple of months ago. I had to call Jane, I begged her to come act as my girlfriend in my party. She didn't want to agree but after much pressure she did. That evening when I met you, I had come to make sure Jane doesn't disappoint me. And then I saw you and I was knocked off on the spot".
Me - "Are you saying that Jane isn't your girlfriend?"
Mike - "Not at all. All we just had was an agreement which finished on my birthday"
Me - "I see..." 

So that was why Jane was kissing another man in Mike's party and was having sex with another the second day. But I still have to hear Jane's side of this story.

"I know you feel something for me too Angela, I can feel it. It's in your eyes. Please just give me a chance to show you how much I love you" Mike finished.
Me - "I don't know what to say Mike. I don't know whether to believe you or not, I don'tknow if you're sincere or not. The only thing I can say is that I'll think about it"
"Thank you" he said.

I checked my time it was some minutes past ten so I said;
"I think I should get going it's getting late. Thanks for the dinner"
"I'll drive you home" he offered
"Okay" I said and we headed for his car.
He drove us to my apartment. He pulled to a stop in front of my flat and pulled me close to him in a kiss. I was shocked and excited at the same time, then I surprised myself by kissing him back. We were still kissing when a light flashed at us from the windscreen...
