A MUST READ: APOLOGIES TO THE SUG OF OOU (I AM SORRY FOR BEING HONEST)

On the 7th of July, 2015, the Student Union Government of Olabisi Onabanjo University released a statement through the PRO announcing the suspension of an event; Music Meets Fashion And Awards which is scheduled to take place on the 28th of August, 2015 in OOU.

I for one was not happy (and is still not happy) about the suspension, likewise many others in OOU. The press release thereby caused a massive uproar on various social media (especially BBM) the night the statement was released online. Many students requested for reasons.

For almost 24hours, I and several others in OOU awaited a report explaining in details the reason they suspended the event, but unfortunately we didn't get any from the SUG.

I wrote about it on my blog as a Nigeria Blogger (o normal na, as a blogger). I was honest with every word used based on the facts I got from my sources and to my utmost surprised; I was somehow accused by the SUG of insulting the SUG and they requested for an apology letter posted on my blog for them to consider reversing the suspension. Hmmmm....issokay....there's no problem, make una sha sabi sey daris God.

So, just to allow PEACE reign of which I never waged war at any body (una talk your own and me talk wetin I feel about am ni but na una get power na....tuale SUG!)

Mr Social Secretary; Eniola - No vex for your nigga
(You always have my support anytime anyday and na cuz sey I like you, if I no like you, I no go use style tell you wetin niggas dey yarn about you so you can prove dem wrong that you got what it takes to run the office of SUG Social Secretary but you no catch the scope. How OOU GOT TALENT programme go be na? #OpenTeeth)

And to everyone who was negatively affected by my honesty, I am truly sorry. SMH

I thereby implore the officials of the SUG to always look deep into matters before final decisions are made on them. In the case of events like #MMFA2015, there should have been warnings sent to the Creative Director of the event prior the decision of suspending the event was taken. Make una no just dey suspend event, that thing dey pain person na....shey una no sabi ni.
