Well, this is no mail. One of my readers asked me this question on BBM. I told her I'll give her my own answer on my blog and then she'll get to read you guyz' point of view.
She said her friends have been unhappy with her cuz she's a friend to her ex-boyfriend which they all see as not RIGHT or STUPID of her to do. So, she wants to know if she should continue to be her ex's friend.
My own point of view:
Make all of us for here no lie....this is one problem we face with our exes. Well, me I don't see it as a problem. Wait! What is with the word; 'Ex'? Why is the word Ex used when it comes to marriages and relationships? Why cant we have words like my ex-teacher, or my ex-school, or my ex-friend? Think about it.
To me, my ex-girlfriend is just a normal person. I can for sure still be friends with my ex-girlfriends. Na for here Africa, we dey carry all these ex matter put for head. We all see our exes as devil, so we shouldn't have anything to do with them since we are no longer together.
And some people are afraid they might fall in love with their exes once again if they are friends. What's wrong with that? Nothing! If you're still single. You can still get back with your ex, this will even make both of you stronger in your relationship and would at all costs avoid another break-up. But, if you are already with a new girl/guy and you really love him/her, unless if you are a player, you won't fall in love with your ex.
This brings me back to the question: Is it okay to be friends with your ex? YES, it is very okay. Even if the ex broke up with you in a very bad way. If you don zero your mind and multiply his/her matter for your life by zero.....nothing special will happen if he/she becomes your friend.
Like me now, all my ex-girlfriends are still my friends. In fact, they visit my blog. They even invite their new boyfriends, friends, families and loved ones to come read my posts. They support everything I do. They are my biggest fans. It is a sweet feeling, aswear! And my Charming Humble Nice Girl doesn't have any problem with that.

There's no problem being friends with your ex. And as CHNG rightly said, if you can have control over your body esp when you're in a new relationship then you're good to go. Otherwise, I'll prefer you cut all communication with him so as not to disrupt your new relationship.
