NOLA'S TALE: RAPED AND BATTERED - EPISODE 5 [WRITTEN BY YELE]

Hello sweetest Ladies and Gentlemen. How have you guys been? The tantalizing Yele is back with the continuation of 'Raped & Battered'. I told you last week that the next episode will be a ghen ghen gheun something. If you missed the last episode, read am HERE.

Welcome to the 5th Episode:

"Raped by my Lanre Tosh on a lone stroll" was what I read from my mum's diary.

With trembling hands, and heaving chest, I tried to get myself together but the memories of my own tragedy replayed itself in my head.
"Is this becoming history?"
I wanted to scream, cry so hard at the same time keeping my composure.
Temmy - "What's that about?"
Me - "Mum. Rape. Lone stroll. It was recorded on her birthday"
Temmy - "Wow" was all he could utter.

Reading on, I discovered she got pregnant from the rape. Her parents wanted an abortion but she opposed. She feared she might not love the child but was willing to take the step. Her parents decided to relocate her. On her way to check the new place out, she had an accident and lost the pregnancy. She recorded she was 4 months gone. I checked briskly for details about this Lanre Tosh man. He's a lawyer but wasn't called to bar for criminal records. Then I thought to myself:
'did mum take action against him?'
Just like I wanted to know, she didn't. Then the man must be a crook. Read about him later in another entry stating that he got married few years back and he got two kids. A boy and a girl.

All the while, I never knew Temmy was studying some other details. Suddenly he asked me:
Temmy - "Nola, what's Jesse's surname and Tee's full name?"
Me - "Teslim Robbins and Jesse Tosh"
Temmy - "Yes! Tosh!! I knew there was a link!!!!"
He hit his hand hard. Just then did my head commenced its calculations. It can't be Jesse's father that raped my mom! No way!!

After much digging, it was established that it was Jesse's Tosh that raped my mum. No problem. I'll lay low and see what happens over the time. But as it is now, I need to get to work. Went to my dad's room, saw enough documents on the running of his companies. Enough guidelines that a tutor can't even offer. Went through his safe and saw guns, poison and all manner of stuffs. I let them be.
"There would be need for them someday" I said to myself.

As at that time, it was Saturday. Didn't see Temmy the previous day and I missed him. But we can't live on like that. Life gotta move on.

*4months later*

One Sunday evening, Temmy showed up. I almost devoured him in my hug. After eating, talking about work and daily challenges, then he suggested
"Let's go out for a walk"
Reluctantly, I got up, straightened my top and in a bid to move, his phone rang.
Temmy - "Hello? Yes??...so??...and??I pray you all rot in hell!!!"
Then he hung up. His eyes were blood red. I have never seen him that way. I was too scared to query him.

What could be the details of the phone call and who is the caller that would have infuriated him so much.
Me - "Ok Temmy, who was that? And what was the call about?"
Temmy - "It was Jesse. He..." And he trailed off.
Not knowing what happened, I started to boil within me.
Temmy - "Nola calm down"
Me - "Temmy you should do the calming down and tell me what happened"
Temmy - "Ok. He said he and his family wanted to see your family that they owe you apologies. Said his dad is on his sick bed and really wants to meet with you"
I smiled which startled Temmy. One thing was evident:
"this man raped my mom and wants forgiveness because he is dying. I'll give him the forgiveness."
Me - " Temmy, I wanna meet them. You call him back that you'll get to me and give him the feedback"

Temmy obliged but looking so confused at my reaction. The memory flooded my head again, each scene played out perfectly. A tear dropped from my left eye. Temmy pulled me close and whispered it is well. We head out to the hospital the Toshs were admitted. To my surprise, it was my dad's hospital. Temmy knew about it because he is the A.M.D. Punching him on his biceps, he winced a little.

Me - "Why didn't you inform me before this time?"
He remained mute
Me - "Ok let's go"
About to open the door, he held me back.
Temmy - "What do you intend to do in there?"
Looking into my eyes. I felt like I needed fresh air though the A.C. was on. Just then did I bring out the gun I had on me.
Me - "I intend to finish them"
Temmy was shocked at the same time disappointed.
Temmy - "Good then! Take the law into your hands. You never knew Tee didn't make it home from the camp, did you? Got engaged in a ghastly car accident that took his life. It was the same shock that killed his mum. Now Jesse and his family ate only-God-knows-what and they are dying and their diagnosis shows nothing"
He paused to study my reaction. I was shocked as well as happy for the nemesis!
Temmy - "Now believing they are dying, everyone wants to confess the sins committed in secret. You see you are not in the best position to kill them?"
Sighing, I dropped the gun then motioned for us to go back home.
Temmy - "Are you not seeing them again?"
Me - "Let them 'rot in hell' like someone said earlier"
I smiled
Temmy - "It's been long I saw that smile. The true Nola's smile"
if I were white, I would be ten times red with that comment.

Four days later, I went to check Temmy at the hospital when I heard some people discussing about one Mr. Tosh Snr. who died few hours back. I walked past a scaly skinny man. Rushed off because the sight was awful. Saw Temmy taking off his overall and then his gloves. He excused himself and went into the bathroom to clean up then came back out. Approaching where I stood,
Temmy - "I'm so sorry Nola, didn't pick up your calls and replied no messages. I'm really sorry. Just wanted to right some wrongs"
I didn't talk but accepted his apology with a smile and walked into his embrace.
Temmy - "You look so scared dear. What's the matter? By the way, you should meet Jesse on your way here"
I couldn't talk, trying to get over the man I saw. Suddenly I freed myself!
Me - "Was that Jesse I saw? Does he have AIDS or cancer or what?"
Temmy - "I told you nothing was found. His dad died this morning and I'm scared he has just little time more."

Before we could say anything more, a nurse came in stating Jesse Tosh slumped and before anyone got there, he was gone!
Temmy - "Send his body to the morgue and send a report to his family. Feed me no details again"

Temmy said with a tone of finality. He was pained, so also was I but who is to be blamed? Jesse gone, Tee gone, an irreparable loss for an irreparable damage! 'Tit-for-tat is a fair play' I thought to myself.
